New Book - Art Of Anet Paglerani

Anet Paglierani has been involved with the arts community for 40 years, painting landscapes and florals. She is well known as one of the founders and directors of the Quincy Art Association established in 1963. She has taught painting in studio and classrooms since 1965.

She received an award in 1943 to attend the Museum Scholarship classes at the MFA for four years and received her diploma in Fine Art in 1947. She received an Associate in illustration after a three-year program of studies at The School of Practical Art in Boston in 1951.

For eight years, she worked as Designer with Rust Craft Greeting Cards.

Anet Paglierani never imagined her artwork would hang in the White House. But during the holiday season. Anet painted an ornament for the White House Christmas tree. The tree, decorated with 347 ornaments, is in the White House’s Blue Room. Seven of the ornaments are from Massachusetts, Paglierani said. To fit a ‘‘Holiday in the National Parks’’ theme, the ornaments bear scenes of parks, memorials, seashores, historic sites and monuments. Anet’s ornament depicts the birthplaces of John Adams and John Quincy Adams, the Adams mansion and the adjacent stone library.
